It was on this day back in 1978 that future rock n’ roll hall of famers The Police began recording their first album, Outlandos d’Amour, which Rolling Stone magazine would rank as #38 on the list of 100 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time. The album features several strong singles including Roxanne, and the following track, So Lonely. Not band for a total investment of only £1500, which is what the album cost to record.
