Paul Simon celebrates his 72nd birthday today. Of course you know that apart from being an incredibly successful solo artist with albums like Graceland and Still Crazy after all These Years to his credit, Paul Simon was first part of Simon and Garfunkel, the folk duo famous for their songs “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence,” and “Mrs. Robinson.” What you probably didn’t know was that before they were Simon and Garfunkel they were Tom and Jerry and got their start all the way back in 1957.
