Today marks the anniversary of the death of INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, who was only 37 years old when he died in 1997 by hanging, either as a form of suicide or an experiment in auto-erotic asphyxiation gone wrong. During the course of his short life Hutchence lead the Australian band to dozens of international music awards and worldwide album sales of 40M.
“Don’t Change” from INXS’ third studio album Shabooh Sabooh has been covered by numerous bands including Everclear, The Bravery and the Goo Goo Dolls among others.
