Since I’m new to New York, I’m going to do every single touristy thing I can think of, no matter what my rough and tough native New Yorker friends say. A week or so back I had the opportunity, yes that’s right you hardened locals, the opportunity, to stroll across one of the most iconic bridges in the world, on my way to meet up with some friends in Brooklyn Heights. Even though these same friends scoffed and said that the only reason they would walk across the Brooklyn Bridge was if they wanted to be bumped into by a thousand tourists (I was and I loved it!), I took the subway from Grand Central Station down to the Brooklyn Bridge then proceeded to walk across its slightly less than a half mile stretch overlooking the East River, taking in its fantastic views, pausing for a moment to first take a selfie, before winding up on my friend’s rooftop. It was fun. You should do it if you have the chance. Next up I’ll be going to the Bronx Zoo! GALLERY FOLLOWS BELOW.
