Jack Paar: Missed Opportunity

In the forthcoming weeks there will be plenty of news about the Beatles. February 9 will mark the 50th anniversary of their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. But it was a different late night host that actually gave them their initial exposure to the American prime time audience. Unfortunately, for Jack Paar, he only ran a tape of them instead of having them perform live. So on this, the 10th anniversary of the death of Jack Paar, think back on what might have been and the huge missed opportunity fifty years ago.
