[SONG] of the Day: Sloan – Penpals

in CARPE DIEM, Song of the Day

Commonwealth, the eleventh studio album by the Canadian band Sloan, comes out on September ninth. You can stream the entire album for a limited time. Shea Garage is highlighting a few of their previous videos in anticipation of the release.

The lyrics to this song come from the time when Sloan was signed to Geffen records. They came across fan letters to Kurt Cobain in the Geffen offices and used the words from those letters as the lyrics for this song.
